I have a lot of experience reloading for this particular rifle, so I diverged a little from my own recommendations in the previous article. When we left off last time, I was headed to the reloading bench with a plan. The extra trigger time spent never hurts when it comes down to making a critical shot during the hunt. Load testing is tedious and time-consuming, but seeing tight groups develop is rewarding. Interpreting testing results can be confusing at times, but when you look at the right metrics, you can shift much of the decision-making to sound data analysis that will lead you to the optimum load in the most efficient manner. ![]() When you reload, you have a lot more variables to evaluate and more potential for improving your rifle’s precision. Even factory ammo from different manufacturers will produce varying degrees of accuracy. Testing different ammunition in your firearm is one of the better ways to improve its capabilities. ![]()
